Parish Funding
Your generosity helps the parish to look after, maintain and improve all of its buildings, the most important of which is our beautiful church. A comprehensive inspection carried out by a Quantity Surveyor in 2021 identified a number of important and costly projects that will need our attention over the next 5 years. In addition to parish funding, retiring collections are taken at Masses throughout the year to support a range of good causes from CAFOD to the Retired Priests’ Fund.
Ways to Give
Regular Donation
Donating a regular amount of money is the best way of supporting the Parish financially. It enables us to plan ahead, knowing that we have a reliable source of income. You can set up a regular donation via online banking using the following details:

Please use your surname and initials as a reference and then the letters OC, e.g. Smith T OC.

Contactless
Contactless devices can be found at the entrance to the church; select the amount you wish to donate and tap your card on top of the reader. If you are signed up for Gift Aid (see below), say “yes” when asked the question.
Cash or cheque
You can either put cash or cheques in the weekly collection basket at Mass, or sign up to use the Gift Aid envelopes (see below).

Gift Aid
If you pay UK tax (Income or Capital Gains Tax) then another great way you can help the Parish financially is to join the Gift Aid programme. The Parish is then able to reclaim an extra 25p for each pound of your donations to the Parish at no additional cost to you!

Your donations can be eligible for Gift Aid regardless of which method of giving you prefer; if you wish to use cash or cheques, you will receive a supply of Gift Aid envelopes that can be put in the weekly collection basket.
